In 1736, Benjamin Franklin told Philadelphians that preventing forest fires was easier than stopping them. This is true for the overwhelming numbers of strays, surrenders, and accidental litters. Prevention to stop the root causes will go a longer way than scooping the water out of the sinking canoe of rescue and shelter. We need the communities to change the way they view dogs as pets and family members, and how they are cared for.

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

County and State shelters are funded by taxpayers' dollars. I approve! But rescues and other shelters are funded by caring individuals like you!  The dogs that the county shelters can't medically fix, have too many to house properly, are declining past the point of quality of life, etc., are looking to rescues to take them for a second chance at life.

Without the donations from caring individuals like you, rescue cannot function. We cannot feed the dogs, get them enrichment, or provide proper veterinary care.

Without You, Rescues Can't Exist
